Issue #770: Mining Bitcoin in the Permian v. the Bakken

Sorry for the late rip today, freaks. Today was my "pack up your life, throw it in a U-Haul, and get the hell out" day with a rain soaked interview sprinkled in. A long day. Moving absolutely sucks. It's over with now though. Goosfraba.

As we approach midnight here on the east coast, I thought I'd sneak this short podcast that breaks down the different variables that come into play when mining bitcoin in the Bakken and the Permian. I've had the pleasure of working closely with Tom at Great American Mining learning about the intricacies of mining Bitcoin in different environments. If you're interested in learning more about the nuance that goes into mining Bitcoin in varying climates, I highly recommend you peep this podcast. Tom does an incredible job of breaking these things down.

You'd be surprised by how much off-grid mining operations differ depending on where in the world your operations are located. Should your mining container be air cooled? Should you use immersion cooling? The mining industry is an example of ruthless capitalism and I feel very fortunate to be a part of a team on exploring the boundaries of this budding industry.

If you're anti-bitcoin, you're pro-wasting energy and a disgusting glutton.

Final thought...

Late night writing reggae vibes, I like it.
