Issue #774: Hard money will fix society

Here's a great way to start your week; watch Hard Money. In just 35-minutes this film dives into how money has been corrupted by the Federal Reserve system and why we should be fighting tooth and nail to get back to a hard money standard.

As we discuss in this rag often, the misallocation of time and capital that we are experiencing in our world can be directly attributed to the ills of easy money and a central banking system that thinks it can micromanage the complex system we call the economy. This misallocation of time and capital materializes itself in the form of a consumption driven society that is driven by the short-term and is structurally unable to plan for the long-term due to the perverse incentives produced by an easy money system controlled by a few central bankers. The mechanical make up of the system individuals the world over are being subjected to makes it impossible for most to develop a low time preference. It is impossible for the mass of men to escape the hamster wheel. They are slaves to the system.

The future of human dignity hinges on whether or not we fix the money. This may seem like a hyperbolic statement, but your Uncle Marty is dead serious. There can be no dignity for the Common Man in a world in which a few individuals are able to manipulate the value of the currency he labors for on a whim. There is no personal agency within this paradigm. There is only a mirage of agency. And the mirage, up to this point, has presented a good enough depiction of "reality" that has led the mass of men to be lulled into a state of complacency and confusion. Lashing out at each other while completely ignoring the root of the problem; unethical money production that benefits a very select few.

Fix the money, fix the world.

Final thought...

Sipping wine on the beach as the full moon rises with Jupiter and Saturn chilling in the background is a great way to end a holiday weekend.
