Every once in a while if you take some time to pause and reflect on some of the madness in the world you begin to notice patterns. If you've been paying attention to bills that have been passed over the course of the last two decades in the US you'll begin to pick up on the fact that the names of many of these bill are overt Orwellian doublespeak. A couple of weeks ago we discussed the Inflation Reduction Act, which is nothing more than an $800B spending bill that is almost guaranteed to increase inflationary pressures. Especially throughout the energy sector. This got me thinking about other bills that have been signed into law in the past that have exhibited similar doublespeak.
