After 9/11, the powers that be could not move fast enough to pass the Patriot Act. A move that has slowly but surely destroyed the civil liberties of Americans over the course of the last two decades. Originally, we were promised that the Patriot Act was only going to be exercised to spy on terrorists who were an "existential threat" to the American people. That turned out to be a bold faced lie. The Patriot Act is now used as cover for alphabet soup agencies that want to spy on American citizens. Allowing them to rifle through personal records held with third parties, to track metadata of citizens they do not like, and to use that information against them.

In states where debates are raging about Second Amendment rights, state officials and their thugs are able to use metadata from social media to identify and target gun rights activists they would like to silence. It's not far fetched to believe that they will start doing this to bitcoiners as more and more people turn to the distributed ledger as the incumbent dollar-dominated financial system continues to crumble. In fact, it would be naive to think they wouldn't do it. (Your Uncle Marty is FUCKED.)

In the face of the spread of COVID-19, you better believe the incompetent kleptocrats are licking their lips in anticipation of the Stay Healthy Act they are inevitably going to draft and attempt to force down our throats. They will use "public health and safety" as emotional Trojan Horses to lower your guard and leverage your fear to accept draconian measures that erode your civil liberties. Be aware. Be vigilant. It's coming.

While we're on the subject, Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal are currently trying to pass the EARN IT Act, which stands for Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies. LOL the Orwellian word play is so overt and nauseating. They fucking thought up an acronym to play to the American "ideal" of hard work. At the end of the day, this act has nothing to do with hard work. Actually the opposite. It would allow the government to scan every message you ever send on any platform and mandate that software providers provide back doors for end-to-end encryption technology, which completely destroys the value of end-to-end encryption technology. They trying to force this through as I type and as mass hysteria sweeps the nation.

Get on the horn and tell these assholes to go fuck themselves. They've slowly ruined the economy, eroded our civil liberties, and left us fat, unhealthy and poor. And they don't plan on stopping their ways any time soon.
