The surveillance state is encroaching on civil liberties.
Was that lede a bit shocking for you? Good. So should the content in the tweet below it.
Slowly but surely, the surveillance state marches forward. Encroaching more and more on our civil liberties in the name of "security" as we stand by and take it to the face. As we often say around these parts, complacency kills. If we aim to bequeath a free world to our children and grandchildren, we must speak out against this encroachment and adopt more privacy and sovereignty preserving technologies like Bitcoin.
Obviously, Bitcoin's current fungibility isn't anywhere near sufficient enough, but it can certainly grow into a sufficiently private network. While it may be hard to fight back against the State's cameras, we can work to bring a sovereign currency into the world that would give us the leverage to tell the State that we don't want to fund their cameras.
I can’t believe what I’m seeing! While running a facial recognition pilot, one man (understandably imho) covered himself up. The police forced him to show his face (& then fined him for disorderly conduct). This is dangerous & terrifying. pic.twitter.com/QdG2VPGyfE

Food tip: when you make blueberry pancakes, put dollops of cream cheese in the batter. Game changer.
