I'll be the first to admit it, I often find myself mad as hell online. Raging into the void against the machine. Seething at the visible deterioration of society as monetary, energy, and food systems break down. It's hard not to lash out when you see bad happening in the world. And don't get me wrong, there is some value in the seething. I do think socially signaling that you have identified something wrong in the world can force others to explore that thing, do some research on it, and come to the same conclusion. Leading to a heightened level awareness that something is wrong and needs to be righted. After all, the first step of fixing a problem is recognizing that it exists in the first place.
There is certainly an increasing number of people out there who are becoming well aware of the problems that plague our world in 2022. Now it's time for more people to take action to fix the problems. The most common error I see the rising number of individuals who see problems in the world commit is screaming at politicians to fix the problems for them. This is a fatal error because the politicians and the bloated governments they have erected are at the core of our problems. Allocating the responsibility of fixing the problem to these people is the definition of insanity. Even worse, the calls for a "third party" here in the states to bring about the change that the Democrat and Republican parties seem unwilling to do themselves will only serve to exacerbate the problem.
At the end of the day it comes down to personal responsibility. If you want something fixed you're going to have to go out and fix it yourself. No one is coming to save you. This is why I have dedicated my life to bitcoin. Bitcoin provides me the ability to take control of my money and the opportunity to build on it without permission to make it easier for others to do so as well. I refuse to wait for politicians and central bankers to fix the broken money. I have come to the rational conclusion that they are not incentivized to do so. Waiting for them to fix the money would lead me to my grave a very unhappy and dissatisfied person. Why would I wait when I have been given the opportunity via bitcoin to fix it myself?
Swan diving into bitcoin has opened my eyes to the fact that there are other broken things in the world that I can work to fix without begging the government to do it for me. Food is one of them. The Beef Initiative is a movement working to connect ranchers and farmers directly with retail consumers so that individuals can source their essential food directly from the people who produce it. Cutting out middlemen, better educating consumers about the food they are eating, and making ranchers and farmers more financially secure so that they can continue to do what they do best and expand their operations. Getting out and shaking my local ranchers hand has been one of the things I have done in the last year that has made my life significantly less stressful in a world going to shit. It took action to get to that point though. I had to walk out of my house, get in my car, drive to the ranch, and shake my rancher's hand.
Hopefully this doesn't come off as preachy, but if more and more individuals begin taking action we can wake up one day and find that the big problems of 2o22 have been solved. Not by politicians, but by individuals who decided to stop seething and began acting. Men and women who woke up and said, "I'm not going to depend on Jerome Powell to fix the money. I'm going to stack sats and build bitcoin products instead. I'm not going to wait on the government to secure the food supply. I'm going to get off my ass, meet my local rancher or farmer, figure out what they need, and support them directly."
If this becomes more commonplace I think we'll be pleasantly surprised with how quickly the world gets back on the right track.
Are you ready to supplement your seething with some action?
