To think that Bitcoin as a system acts in the same fashion as a Bernie Madoff run Ponzi scheme is asinine. It simply does not compute.
Here's something from our boy Hasu that caught my eye on Twitter last night. We're big fans of sharpening the pitch here at Marty's Ƀent and the above sequence of tweets does an incredible job of getting to the crux of Bitcoin's value prop.
It's hard to imagine a world in which Bitcoin doesn't succeed when you take a step back, look around, and see all the trends surrounding money pointing towards a more Orwellian, State-controlled panopticon disguised as freedom.
While the Lightning Network is in its infancy, we must restrain ourselves from making the same false promises. I myself am guilty of this at times. It's always nice to have the angel on your shoulder.

At the end of the day, these assholes have completely lost the plot. Yes, it's fair to say Bitcoin would probably not be where it is today without the services they provided early on in Bitcoin's existence. However, that does not mean we must show Coinbase an unlimited amount of goodwill.
It's really really hard to fully grasp Bitcoin when one is first approaching the subject. The angle from which one approaches their journey down the Bitcoin rabbit hole can really dictate how long it takes to somewhat grasp what Bitcoin is and how it works.
